My first destination in Bulgaria was its capital and hugest city Sofia.
It is a very important cultural and business town attracting lots of young people to try their luck and start a new life. Furthermore it is famous for its party and nightlife scene as well as its good value for small budget offers to travelers.
The underwater world of Thailand was definitly the highlight of my stay!
I did my Open Water PADI diving licence on Koh Tao and was snorkelling multiple times around Koh Tao and Koh Phi Phi Don. (See video)
Koh Phi Phi Don (the big Koh Phi Phi) (the island where it is possible to stay in a hotel/hostel/bungalow overnight) itself on the other side is a typical party island for young people. It was amaizing to celebrate with so many people and have a great time, but it was definitly not the “paradise” I have imagined.
Koh Phi Phi Lee (the small Koh Phi Phi) was a place I enjoyed alot – eventhough only for a few hours. This is because the whole island is a natural reserve and there is no possibility (as far as I could find out) to stay there overnight – except for sleeping over on a boat during an organized cruise, which would be very pricy… 😉
The Beach – finally I was there and it was amaizing!
Krabi surprised me in a very pleasant way. I did not expect to see such a deversity of natural beauty on one place. From trekking, professional climbing and bouldering to enjoying a relaxed day on the beach – Krabi has all of it to offer – and this for a better price than you would have to pay, when staying on the islands.
Some day I will definitly have another trip to Krabi!
