Burgas is the fourth biggest town in Bulgaria and an affordable summer (June to September) travel destination for water sports fans and beach vacation destinations in general.
During summer the town is full of tourists – especially because it has lots of affordable shopping alternatives in comparisson to the nearby situated resort Sunny Beach.
In the off season (October to May) it is a nice destination to enjoy delicious Bulgarian food and the calm of the Black Sea since there are almost no tourists and hotel/hostel prices are cheaper (by about 50%).
Here are some moments from my trip to Burgas in March 2017. Enjoy!
My first destination in Bulgaria was its capital and hugest city Sofia.
It is a very important cultural and business town attracting lots of young people to try their luck and start a new life. Furthermore it is famous for its party and nightlife scene as well as its good value for small budget offers to travelers.
Living in Germany but never traveled to our neighbors the Netherlands?
How is that even possible..?
Until January 2017 this was the fact for me so I decided to finally go and visit this country famous for its liberal and open minded people.
My first stop in the Netherlands was the city of Amsterdam, where I spend about a week, which definitly was not enough, but since it is not the cheapest city for travellers on a low budget, it was fine 😉
Just to give you an idea of the avarage cost per day spent there:
Dorm bed: 15€ +
Breakfast: 5€ (super market); 10€ (at restaurant e.g. English Breakfast)
Lunch or Dinner: from 8€ (affordable restaurant)
Museums: e.g Rijksmuseum entry: 17€ (Discounts for students possible)
Ferry to the other side of the town: 0€ 🙂
Ticket for the tram or bus: about 3€ (one way ticket)
-> better use the OV-Chipcard (about 0,90€ per km)
There are free city walking tours offered at every hostel! 🙂
Here are some impressions of my short trip to Amserdam. Enjoy!
